It works like one, yes: convocando is a PWA (Progressive Web App), a website that installs on your phone just like a regular app. From your browser (Chrome, Safari...) you use "Add to Home Screen" and get its own icon; it opens full-screen, with no browser bar, and can send you notifications if you enable them. We chose not to publish it on Google Play or the App Store on purpose: a PWA updates itself every time you open it (you're never stuck on an old version waiting to update), it works exactly the same on iPhone and Android without maintaining two separate apps, and there's no store review gatekeeping every change before it reaches people. For you as a user, the result is the same as always: an icon on your home screen, no store and no download size to worry about.

Yes, in Spanish and English. On your first visit it detects your browser's language; you can switch it manually with the selector in the footer afterward, and it's remembered for future visits.

Yes. By default it follows your system's theme (dark if there's no preference), and you can switch it manually with the sun/moon button in the footer; it's saved so you won't need to repeat it each time.

They solve different things. Playtomic books courts at its network of partner clubs and assigns a ranking-style level (it goes up or down based on wins/losses in competitive matches) — great if you want to book a court and play by level at a club in that network. Convocando doesn't book courts or handle payments: it's for getting people together and organizing the match (or any other plan) wherever you want, without depending on your court or club being part of any specific network, and with no ranking or level involved — for when you just want to fill the match without competitiveness being the whole point. It also works for any plan with limited spots, not just padel: trips, dinners, courses, or charity actions.

Yes. convocando organizes spots and confirmations; contracting, payment, and compliance with the provider's terms happen outside the app.

Yes: confirming your spot needs a free account (that's how capacity, waitlist, and notices are tracked), though viewing the event doesn't. The only exception is if the organizer manually adds you as confirmed themselves — for example, for someone without an account, like a child.

Yes. When editing the event you can add new invitees just like when creating it; they get the usual invite.

The organizer has to approve you: instead of confirming instantly, a pending request is created and they get notified. If they approve it you're in as confirmed; if not, nothing else happens.

Yes. On the friends page you can create groups (e.g. "Monday padel crew") and add the whole group to an event in one click.

Just the minimum: the title, open spots, and a generic photo, never the real one. As soon as the organizer invites you (or you confirm attendance), you see the full details.

Yes, from settings. With a private profile, only your friends (and you) see the full details; everyone else just sees a notice that the profile is private. Your public events, if you have any, still show on your profile page regardless, since they're already public.

Nobody unless you're both confirmed in the same event. Once you and someone else are confirmed in the same plan, your emails become visible to each other (that's already how automatic notices work); your phone is only shared if you've turned on "Share my phone" in settings — if you don't, nobody ever sees it. There's no in-app messaging: it's direct contact, only between people already going to the same plan.

Yes, from settings. Everything gets deleted (profile, events, and invites) and it can't be undone.

Yes. If the plan still has open spots, a reminder is sent to whoever hasn't confirmed as the date gets closer, giving them one last chance to join.

You always get an in-app notification (the bell). The email side is deliberately more restrained: you won't get an email for every single edit (so an organizer editing several times in a row doesn't flood your inbox) — just the initial invite email and, if the plan is still incomplete, the occasional reminder as the date approaches.

As an invitee: one right when you're invited, plus maybe a reminder or two if the plan doesn't fill up and the date is close. As an organizer, you get no email at all for creating or editing your own event — that's all in-app notifications — and if new people join, it's bundled into a single periodic summary instead of one email per person.
